What is the significance of the Agile methodology in software development?

During my final year at university, I worked on a team project to develop a mobile application. We decided to adopt Agile methodology to manage our development process effectively. We divided our work into two-week sprints, which allowed us to focus on specific features while regularly reviewing our progress. This approach was beneficial because we could adapt our project based on user feedback from mock presentations. For instance, after our first demo, we realized users wanted a more intuitive interface, so we adjusted our design accordingly.
