How do you deal with ambiguous situations?

During my final year at university, I was part of a group project where we had to develop a machine learning model from scratch. Initially, we had conflicting ideas about the project direction, which led to a lot of confusion. To address this, I organized a meeting where each member could share their thoughts. I encouraged open discussion and we collectively decided to research the most viable options. By breaking down our tasks into smaller, manageable parts, we turned the ambiguity into clear objectives.
