During my final year in college, I worked on a group project where we designed a user interface for a mobile app. After presenting our initial design to our professor, we received critical feedback regarding the usability of our navigation features. Instead of feeling discouraged, I took the feedback positively. I organized a follow-up meeting with my team to discuss the points raised. We conducted user testing sessions to gather more insights and iterated on our design based on the feedback. By the end of the project, our revised design received praise for its improved user experience, and we learned the importance of user-centered design principles.

As a volunteer for a local community event, I was tasked with designing promotional flyers. After sharing my initial designs with the event organizers, they felt the colors were too bright and didn’t align with the theme. Rather than being defensive, I asked for specific preferences and suggestions. I then created a new set of designs that incorporated their feedback. The final flyer was much more aligned with their vision, which not only improved the event's branding but also fostered a collaborative spirit among the team. This experience taught me how valuable open communication and flexibility can be in design work.
