During my final year at college, I worked on a software development project for a local business. My team and I had to define the overall 'process' we would use to manage our project, which included steps like gathering requirements, designing the software, coding, testing, and deployment. Each of these steps represented a part of our development process. Within this process, we also created specific 'functions' in our code, such as a function to calculate sales tax or another to validate user input. This experience taught me how processes outline the workflow, while functions are the individual tasks that help accomplish those workflows.

In my volunteer role with a community organization, I helped organize charity events. The overall 'process' for planning the event involved steps like selecting a venue, promoting the event, and coordinating volunteers. Each of these steps required collaboration and communication to ensure success. Within this process, we also had specific 'functions,' like creating promotional materials or managing ticket sales. This experience highlighted how processes are the broader frameworks guiding our efforts, while functions refer to the specific actions that contribute to achieving our goals.

In my first job as a junior developer, I was involved in a team that followed Agile processes for software development.
