What methods do you use to validate your design concepts before moving into development?

During my final year project, I designed a mobile application aimed at helping students manage their study schedules. To validate my design concepts, I organized user testing sessions with fellow classmates. I created low-fidelity wireframes and asked users to complete specific tasks within the app. Their feedback revealed that the navigation was confusing, so I adjusted the layout based on their insights. This iterative process not only improved the app's usability but also made me realize the importance of user feedback in the design process.

While volunteering for a local non-profit, I was tasked with redesigning their website. To ensure my design met the needs of the community, I conducted informal surveys among the volunteers and community members. I presented a few design options and asked for their preferences. This engagement helped me identify key features that were essential for users, such as event calendars and donation buttons. As a result, the new website received positive feedback, and user engagement significantly increased after the launch.

In my first job as a junior designer at an e-commerce startup, I was involved in revamping the product page design. Before moving into development, I created interactive prototypes using design tools and conducted A/B testing with a small user group. By comparing different layouts and analyzing user interactions, I was able to identify which design elements led to higher click-through rates.
